Danforth is also a type of anchor commonly seen on sailboats in Northwest waters.   It is a fluke-type anchor with two large triangular-shaped flukes that are slightly hinged allowing them to bury downward into soft seabed floors in order to set themselves.  It is recognized as an efficient, trustworthy and lightweight anchor design.
