2018 Mainstay Sangiovese

This vintage of Mainstay is the only one sourced from Ciel du Cheval, giving it a slightly different personality than our other Red Mountain fruit — a touch more minerality alongside the usual bright cherry and dried herb. The 2018 shows red cherry, dried strawberry, and a savory, earthy edge, with firm acidity and fine-grained tannins carrying it through a clean finish. Produced in extremely limited quantities, this Sangiovese represents the premium Sangiovese from our portfolio each year.
