2017 Crosswind Super-Tuscan Red Blend

Crosswind is a Super Tuscan-style blend showcasing Red Mountain Sangiovese with a robust contribution from Cabernet Sauvignon and subtle influences from Merlot and a small amount of Petit Verdot.  The 2017 Crosswind leans a bit more heavily on Sangiovese than the 2018, giving it a brighter, more savory profile. Dried cherry, tobacco, and dark spice lead the nose, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot filling in structure underneath and a touch of Petit Verdot adding color and grip. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, with bright acidity and firm tannins carrying through a long, savory finish.
