2017 Danforth Cabernet Sauvignon

This bottling of Danforth comes from Heart of the Hill in the Red Mountain AVA, the distinct block that gives the wine a bit more minerality and lift than standard Red Mountain fruit. The 2017 shows blackcurrant, graphite, and dried violet on the nose, with a palate that’s dense but lifted, structured tannins carrying dark fruit through a long, mineral-tinged finish.
