2017 Knockdown - Captain's Private Collection

From our Captain's Private Collection, this earlier Knockdown leans a bit less on Cabernet Sauvignon than the 2018, with Syrah, Merlot, and Sangiovese each playing a bigger supporting role. The 2017 shows blackberry, dark chocolate, and a peppery lift on the nose, backed by firm, structured tannins. The palate is full-bodied and intense, with layers of dark fruit building to a long, powerful finish.
