2017 Traveler Sangiovese

Our flagship Sangiovese blend that started Genoa Cellars off in 2006 in our Italian direction. We blend from several sources of Sangiovese in Columbia Valley AVAs including Red Mountain and Wahluke Slope with Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon for structure, and Red Mountain Merlot for balance, softness and enhanced aromas. The 2017 offers red plum, cherry, and dried herb on the nose, with bright acidity and supple tannins on the palate. Red fruit carries through to a clean, easy finish, true to Traveler’s versatile, food-friendly style.
